Shinkyo Bridge, created solely for the “shogun” and other dignitaries to cross on special occasions
When I heard this bridge was made of snakes, I had to visit during my trip to Nikko. For whatever reason, the bridge has become one of the busiest attractions in Nikko, perhaps because of its close proximity to the train station. The bridge itself is a delight to behold, and offers a nice insight into Japanese history. I am still not convinced that it is made of snakes though.
